Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare Coming To Xbox Consoles On February 18, PC And PlayStation Versions Allegedly In The Works

For the past couple of years, Plants Vs. Zombies has become one of the most fun defense games, and with the emergence of PvZ2 for iOS and Android, it only got earned more fans. Now, the previously announced shooter Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is officially coming to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One on February 18th next year.

Don't get the title wrong folks: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is not in any way a defense type of game, but an FPS shooter. According to news reports from GameSpot, the game features three game modes.

The first one is more of the defense type, with plants defending while zombies approaching, the second a four-player co-op game which was compared to Gears Of Wars' Horde mode, and the 24-player team deathmatch mode, where players can pick from any of the available roster of characters to battle in a garden bloodbath.

Similar to other FPS shooter games, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare also offers certain classes to choose from. Some examples include the pea-shooter that transforms into a turret for a short period of time, dealing AOE damage, the chomper that digs the ground and appears right in front of unsuspecting opponents, and the ice cactus that attacks from all directions and slows down enemies.

On the zombie side, there is also the zombie scientist who provide a turret that heals nearby allies, the engineer who can pilot a severed zombie head and call for an airstrike, and the zombie football player that charges right to the enemies using his tackle skills.

Here's an official 10-minute video with commentary on the game:
