Hugh Jackman Cancer: Hugh Jackman revealed on his Instagram account that he had a spot of skin cancer on his nose removed showing a picture of his face with bandage on.

Hugh Jackman posted on his Instagram:

"Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a [basal] cell carcinoma, Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"

Hugh Jackman joins other celebrities who suffered this kind of cancer but was able to get rid of it on its early stages just what like the Wolverine star did.

One of which is Bruce Jenner who was a track and field athlete during his younger days and won a gold in the Olympics in 1976.

Jener mentioned his skin cancer experience after being photographed by E! News with a bandage also on his nose.

"It's all sun damage from the '60s and '50s when I was competitively water-skiing and living on a lake and all my training outside," Jenner said. "Nobody wears sunblock back then. I first had one here," he pointed to his cheek, "just a little red spot. It's a basal-cell carcinoma, which is a—basically it is a skin cancer, because it doesn't heal."

One casualty of this sickness is Bob Marley who died of melanoma when it spread around his body.

According to American Cancer Society, with regards to Hugh Jackman’s cancer, this kind of disease is common to Americans and "Melanoma is almost always curable when it is found in its very early stages."

"Nearly 800,000 Americans are living with a history of melanoma and 13 million are living with a history of non-melanoma skin cancer, typically diagnosed as basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma."
