Yang Hyunsuk is terrified to perform live
It has been 16 years since the break-up of the legendary group "Seotaiji and the boys". And after the long years of work off stage, Yang Hyunsuk, the current Producer of YG Entertainment and judge of the show "K Pop Star", is performing live.
Yang recently admitted during a phone interview that "I'm so nervous. I've been so out of the loop about performing since the break-up of Seo Taiji and the boys that I've forgotten that I too was actually a celebrity."
This coming week-end is packed, as it is the beginning of Big Bang's world tour and the staging of his own live performance.
Despite the hectic schedule, he is still devoting everything into Big Bang's concert. But that doesn't mean that he's neglecting his preparation for his role as a judge in K Pop Star. This was actually a show adopted from an idea that Yang had created years ago. So far, it has been a huge success, managing to compete with "1 Night 2 Days" which has been one of the most popular entertainment shows for several years. And with the start of live auditions, many are expecting K Pop Star to rise as the new it-show.
Yang added that "Before K Pop Star, people didn't recognize me on the streets if I put on a cap. But now it's different. The recognition has got me to realize how popular the show has become and the fact that I am, indeed, a celebrity as well."
From March 4th, K Pop Star will unveil its live audition stages of the top 10 contestants.
