From Sungkyunkwan to Rooftop: Park Yoo Chun the Chameleon
Park Yoo Chun will return as the Crown Prince in the drama "Rooftop Prince". This is his second time in a historical drama after "Sungkyunkwan Scandal".
But this drama is quite different as "Rooftop Prince" shows the Crown Prince Lee Gak time traveling to the present. Hence, 70% of the drama takes place in the 21st century so it is essentially a modern drama.
His acting color, however, is historic. He will be starring as the Crown Prince struggling to adapt to a modern life. This is why he will not be like the typical male lead in dramas who tend to be either comical or snotty: Yoo Chun will be playing a serious and a solemn character.
A representative clarified that "Yoo chun will play a rather serious character but the circumstances around him will make him funny. It will be hilarious to see a Prince from Chosun dynasty eating ramen and things like that. He will, however, change into a more charismatic character in the end so you can expect to see a very dynamic character."
"Rooftop Prince" is about a Crown Prince who time travels from Chosun dynasty and falls in love with a woman in the 21st century. He will star with Han Jimin, Lee Taesung, and many others.
After the press conference for the drama on the 5th, Yoo Chun will travel to Chile to join fellow JYJ members for a performance.
