Baek Ah Yeon The “Atlantis Princess”

Baek Ah Yeon performed BoA's famous song "Atlantis Princess" in front of BoA herself.

During this week's episode of ‘K-Pop Star’ the top 8 contestants engaged in a fierce battle each singing ‘A Song by My Idol.’

Claiming BoA to have been her idol since elementary school, Baek Ah Yeon nervously started her performance of ‘Atlantis Princess,’ which was remade in a piano version. Singing and playing the piano, she looked like an innocent fairy tale princess. She even managed to add a cute dance that got BoA recalling her dance moves from the past.

BoA complimented, "Thank you for picking this song. It's been such a long time since I've heard it and it's a lot more difficult than it seems but you pulled it off. Though you did not have the goggles or the tight top, I think this was better than the original." She awarded 90 points.

Yang Hyun Suk added, "I know that you sing well. So judging by the song, this performance stage is only worth 80 points. But because of the added performance, I decided to be a bit more generous." He awarded her 88 points.

Park Jin Young said "Your biggest advantage is that your speech and singing both contain the same emotional depth and facial expressions. So it seems very sincere. But today your voice didn't seem like yours at all." He awarded her 82 points.
