Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Rumored Xperia Z1S Droid Gets A Tentative Release Date In China, Price Starts At $590

For some time now, there has been much attention on the rumored Sony Xperia Z1S which is a miniature version of the Xperia Z1, and allegedly an international variant of the Japan-exclusive Xperia Z1F. In case you are looking for powerful and upcoming android phones in 2014 that would sit just right in your pocket, then this one should clearly be an option.

And in a report from GSM Arena, leaks are pointing to a Q1 release in China. In fact, XperiaGuide even points out that the announcement might be made as early as today, though the device would not officially hit the market until early next year. The report also states that the Xperia Z1S may retail at around CNY 3,600 or about $590.

Dubbed as the international Xperia Z1 mini version, the Xperia Z1S allegedly sports exactly the same hardware specifications of the Z1, save for the 4.3" 720p screen and the smaller 2,300mAh battery compared to the 3,000mAh battery of the original. Apart from that, it's all power and performance for the smaller Z1 with a Snapdragon 800 chipset, a 20MP shooter with Sony G Lens, and the IP-58 water-resistance certification.

In the images above, the rumored handset is seen running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, though considering its rumored release date, it may come with Android KitKat out of the box.
