Elder Scrolls Online Release Date Announcement Coming Soon? ZeniMax Unveils Interactive Map For World Of Tamriel

Elder Scrolls Online developer ZeniMaz has unveiled an interactive map for the World of Tamriel, PingZine.com reports, leaving many wondering if they will make an announcement about a possible release date.

"Tamriel is a diverse landscape where you'll find everything from scorching deserts to woodlands, plains, and treacherous swamps, all inhabited by cultures just as disparate as the terrain," ZeniMax said in an announcement.

The interactive map specifically allows users to navigate areas of the world in order to view things like screenshots, book excerpts, journals, concept art and even what ZeniMax describes as "conversations overheard at taverns," PingZine.com writes.

The Elder Scrolls Online beta keys were recently handed out for this weekend's test-a-thon, but developer ZeniMax's intense Nondisclosure Agreement prevents users from leaking any information, screenshots, or video, the Epoch Times writes, leaving many wondering if information about the game's release date version is being kept secret.

The developer's non-disclosure agreement ensured that screenshots of gameplay would not be uploaded or revealed. It also prevented users from releasing information about specs and characters.

Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines revealed on Twitter on Wednesday that the company has begun distributing invites to the beta for Elder Scrolls Online, GameSpot.com reports, leaving many gamers wondering if it will be released sooner than expected.

While the game is slated launch sometime in 2014, it remains unknown if the MMO will be made available to users toward the beginning or end of the year.

"A LOT of beta invites going out for ESO (reminder: closed beta, under NDA). Maybe I'll see you in Tamriel this weekend?" Hines wrote on Twitter.
