Install Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update On T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4; Firmware Now Available Via OTA And Samsung KIES

Owners of T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 can now install the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

According to a report on International Business Times, T-Mobile announced today that the official Androoid 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the US carrier-branded Samsung Galaxy S4 is now available.

Those with T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 can now install the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update on their smartphones, either through the Over-the-Air update or through the Samsung KIES.

Moreover, Droid Life posted that the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware, despite its huge file size, still offers minor changes. Citing T-Mobile, the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S4 brings in support for Galaxy Gear and provides the Samsung KNOX, which is a mobile enterprise security software.

To get the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 should be on stock and unrooted version of Android 4.2.2. The device should also have at least 50 percent battery level before a user proceeds with the actual installation process.

Prior to the release of the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update on T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4, the firmware already reached other high-end Samsung smartphones locked under US carriers. Some of the smartphones which can already be installed with official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update are the Sprint Galaxy S3, Sprint Galaxy Note 2, AT&T Galaxy S3, US Cellular Galaxy S3 and the T-Mobile Galaxy S3.

It was earlier expected that the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for T-Mobile Galaxy S4 will arrive on November 18. However, it was revealed that the release of the firmware for certain smartphone devices including international Galaxy S3 models and various US-branded Galaxy S4 model will be postponed while the South Korean smartphone manufacturer investigates issues and post-update bugs experienced on the latest OS.
