Xolo Q500 Specs, Release Date: 4-inch WVGA Display, Up To 32GB Storage, 5MP Camera, Snapdragon Processor; Now Available In India For RS 7,999

Xolo Q500 specs, release date: The newest budget-friendly unit from Xolo is now available for RS 7,999. The Xolo Q500 has a 4-inch display, 4GB inbuilt storage expandable to 32GB via MicroSD, is wi-fi and bluetooth-enabled and is powered with Android 4.1

According to NDTV, the new Xolo smartphone expands the company’s handset offerings which already included handsets such as Xolo Q600, Xolo Q700, Xolo Q800, Xolo Q900, Xolo Q1000, Xolo Q1000S, and Xolo Q2000. All the devices are powered by quad-core processors, but the Q500 under the hood has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor.

A handset’s centerpiece feature - it’s camera. The Xolo Q500 has a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and also has a VGA front-facing camera. Other specs of the unit include a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 with Adreno 203 and 1GB of RAM. According to NDTV, the Xolo Q500 is the first budget smartphone by the company powered by a Qualcomm chipset.

Storage for the Xolo Q500 begins at 4GB but with MicroSD support can have up to 32GB. Dimensions of the handset is at 118.5 x 63 x 10.7mm. It has a 1450mAh battery which the company Xolo claims can deliver up to 16 hours of talk time and up to 290 hours of standby time.

The handset is compatible with Wi-Fi and is Bluetooth enabled and also has GPS/AGPS and can run on 3G. In terms of software, it’s loaded with X-TransPic app which according to the manufacturer can help users translate Hindi words to English and read out detected text by using text to speech functionality.
