Free Games For Xbox Live Gold Members: ‘Gears of War’ Now Offered For 0 Microsoft Points; Free DLC Map Packs Also Available

The December offering of free games for Xbox Live Gold members were already revealed. And for the first 15 days of December, subscribers will be able to download "Gears of War," which usually comes with a regular price of $19.99.
Gears of War, being the first of the two free games for Xbox Live Gold members available this December, can be downloaded without any cost until December 15. Gears of War, as described on DL Central:

But aside from the game itself, Microsoft is also offering two DLC map packs for Gears of War on Xbox Live, also for free!
Gamers can get Multiplayer Map Pack 1 and 'Hidden Fronts' Multiplayer Pack 2 for free on the Xbox Live marketplace.
"Multiplayer Map Pack 1" by Discovery Channel features Raven Down and Old Bones. Meanwhile, Hidden Fronts Multiplayer Pack 2 will definitely enhance the gamers' Gears of War multiplayer experience through the four new maps which include Bullet Marsh, Garden, Process and Subway.
On December 16, "Shoot Many Robots" will replace "Gears of War" as the free game for Xbox Live Gold members.
Every month, there will be two free games for Xbox Live Gold members as part of Microsoft's 'Games with Gold' program. Usually, the first game is scheduled to be released on the 1st day of the month, and the second one, on the 16th.
As cited on Win Beta, Microsoft shared, "As our way of saying thanks to our qualifying Xbox Live Gold members, we're giving you two free Xbox 360 games each month for the rest of the year. Each game will be available to download only for a limited time, so grab them before they're gone and keep them no matter what."
