Those who cannot wait for the latest GT offering should be excited to know that the Gran Turismo 6 release date is already set for this week.

Specifically, Gran Turismo 6 release date is scheduled for Friday, December 6 for the Sony PlayStation 3. And prior to the highly-anticipated Gran Turismo 6 release date, more details about the game have already been revealed.

For one, the newly released trophy list for Gran Turismo 6 offered information regarding the "game's moon-based tracks and suggests challenges with low-gravity conditions," as posted on Polygon.

One of the trophies in the list will be awarded to players after finishing all the "Lunar Exploration" missions including the Moon Mission Accomplished challenge. Moroever, the One Giant Leap trophy will be given to those who will successfully make a 3-second jump in low-gravity conditions.

As for more Gran Turismo 6 news, Just Push Start reported that the upcoming GT title will offer the biggest number of cars in the who Gran Turismo series. Particularly, Gran Turismo will feature more than 1,200 cars, coming from all around the world and the collection will include a combination of old and new favorites.

One of the recently revealed cars before Gran Turismo 6 release date arrives is the Red Bull Racing X2014. More interestingly, the X2014 will be available in three editions, the fan car, which has a code name X2014/F, the Standard car (X2014/S) and the Junior car (X2014/J). As posted on the site, "All three were penned by Polyphony Digital in collaboration with Adrian Newey, chief technical officer of Red Bull Racing F1."
