Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rumored To Get A 'Lite' Version At The MWC In 2014? To Pack Midrange Specs, 8MP Shooter, 5.7" LCD Display

In September, the Korean manufacturer unleashed a monster of a phone in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It boasted top-of-the-line specifications and a lightning speed CPU. However, its pricetag isn't the most attractive in the market and so some, if not most, consumers stay put and just wait for another similarly-designed device with midrange specs and a much cheaper cost.

Samsung could be hearing their cries right now, and could be working on a Galaxy Note 3 Lite edition.

According to rumor generator Sam Mobile, one of its insiders 'confirmed' the release of the Lite version at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year. Furthermore, it would reportedly hit stores between February and March, in time with another awaited device - the Galaxy S5.

While hardware details have not been leaked yet, rumored software and other specifications include a screen size between 5.49 and 5.7 inches. Sam Mobile mentions that the display would probably be downgraded to LCD from Super AMOLED to justify its probably cheap pricing. There are also talks pointing to a lower but still capable 8-megapixel primary shooter.

Given the proposed specs which are eerily similar to the Galaxy S4 Active, Samsung may be working on a Galaxy Note 3 Active.

Samsung has not yet confirmed any of these details, so we may want to take all of this with a pinch of salt.
