Alleged Tom Daley Boyfriend Photo Surfaces After YouTube Coming Out: Olympic Diver Receives Support From Celebrities As Gay Relationship Goes Public

Despite having had relationships with women, British Olympic diver Tom Daley has come out in a YouTube video, revealing he's in a relationship with a man but safekeeping the identity of his boyfriend.

"Come spring, this year, my life changed. Massively. When I met someone and it made me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great. That someone is a guy. And it did take me by surprise a little bit," said Tom Daley in a YouTube video.

"It was always in the back of my head that it could happen, but it wasn't until the spring of this year that something clicked. It felt right. Like I said, my whole world just changed right there and then."

Although gay rumors have surrounded the star diver since he made a splash at the 2012 Summer Olympics, this was the first true confirmation.

"Of course I still fancy girls," he continued. "But I mean, right now I'm dating a guy and I couldn't be happier. It makes me feel safe and just really does feel right."

Although the identity of the boyfriend remains a mystery, one particular photo has been making the rounds on Twitter which alleges is with Tom Daley and his boyfriend.

And despite some inevitable controversy, many are applauding Tom Daley's bravery in coming out, including Russell Brand, Kylie Minogue, Stephen Fry, and Andy Cohen.

As Tom Daley prepares for the 2016 Rio Olympics, no doubt the subject of his boyfriend and his coming out will continue.
