Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2: Rumors Suggest Specs Of 12.2-Inch Tablet Include 8MP Camera, 3G Capable, Android 4.3; Will Go Against iPad Air, Still No Leaked Visuals

Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2: Rumors have been swirling about a 12.2-inch tablet by Samsung since the IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin last September. But to this day only a mere render by Moveplayer proposes the look of this large tablet.

In an earlier report by the International Business Times, it said that the device will be pitted against Apple’s iPad Air. A report by Phone Arena, sourced from an FCC information leak, shows that Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 will be 3G capable and will support 850/1900 MHz frequencies. This model may also have a 2560 x 1600 pixel display and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM in memory and maybe running with Android 4.3 out of the box.

In terms of the tablet’s display, the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 is rumored to have a high-end resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and S-Pen features. Other sources say that the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 may have a new Android if Google releases another OS, though it’s very likely that the latest Android we’ll have at the moment would still be the Android 4.4 KitKat.

There have been reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 was spotted at a Bluetooth sig filing, showing that the South Korean tech giant is actively preparing the release of the unit. According to Droid Life, the device popped up in Bluetooth certification process recently.

Though no actual photo of the device exist, a leaked render by MovePlayer propose how it might look like and the claimed FCC filing does suggest that this could possibly undergoing final tests for consumer release. Phone Arena noted that if in case this device will be launched by the South Korean tech giant, it could come sooner than later.

There have been no news or speculations on the price of the tablet, but if the 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab would serve as reference, it is definitely going north of $400.
