Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Review: Specs Of 13.3-Inch Yoga 2 Pro Includes Impressive Display, 4GB RAM, 128 GB Hard Drive; Still An Excellent Ultrabook Buy For $999

Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Review (last updated 12/5/2013): Specs of the new Yoga 2 Pro has shown an improved tablet/pc hybrid design, running the latest Windows 8.1 while sporting an impressive 13.3-inch display with a 3,200 x 1,800 resolution. It has 4GB of RAM on a Intel 4th gen Core i3 processors. It’s 3.1 lbs so it’s to take anywhere and with a price tag at $999, not too heavy on the pocket as well.

 Design
When it comes to the design, one of the most noticeable changes you will see in the Yoga 2 Pro is the ability to extend the display back all the way down to the ultrabook’s base. Previously, the Yoga’s display could only get to 300 degrees. This means that it gives users the option of using it in the standard laptop mode, stand/Tent mode or even as a tablet. When you get to the tablet mode, the Keyboard and Touchpad become inactive so that you do not accidentally press the keys.

Display
The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro comes with a 13.3 inch QHD+ display. It has an impressive resolution of 3200 by 1800 which makes colors look very sharp and text easy to read. This size is not too small or too large for the ultrabook. It is also just perfect when you decide to use it in tablet mode.

When using it outside, the ultrabook still remains pretty clear with text still readable even if there is direct sunlight behind you. To read in such a setting, you would have to turn up the brightness to maximum which will consume the battery faster but it is better than not being able to use it at all.

Performance
In terms of performance, Ubergizmo claims that there have been some internal spec improvements in comparison to Yoga 2’s predecessor. The ultrabook has been fitted with a 4th generation Intel Haswell processor that is becoming very popular with many manufacturers. In addition to this, Lenovo have also put in a much improved integrated GPU. All these changes mean that the Yoga 2 easily outperforms the Yoga but not too many other Haswell-equipped ultrabooks.

Webcam
The webcam on the Yoga 2 Pro has 720p. It has been positioned right at the center of the top part of the display. When compared by Ubergizmo to other ultrabooks with 720p webcams, the Yoga 2 Pro will give a crispier image but this sacrifices on how vibrant the colors will look. It is a good webcam experience but it can be much better.
