Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumors: Upcoming Flagship Allegedly Has Two Versions - One With Metal Frame And One With Curved Display

With the release coming to a close, Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors are already piling up, most of which offer new hopes of innovation for the Korean manufacturer. One of these new alleged features include two versions - one with a metal chassis and one with curved display.

Knowing Samsung, it would not be difficult to think that the company already wants to improve and develop its curved display technology, which we first saw in the Galaxy Round which was exclusively released in Korea more than a month ago.

However, a handset in the Galaxy S lineup with a metal frame? That's new.

According to a report from Android Authority, a Japanese publication reported that Samsung has already secured some suppliers for their upcoming flagship. EMSOnes said the metal frames will most likely come from Taiwanese manufacturer Catcher Technologies, which also makes the frames for Samsung's bitterest rival, Apple on its iPads.

The report also says that it is expecting Catcher to manufacturer 10 to 30 million units, though that would just be the initial release.

Samsung has yet to announce, confirm or deny any of these reports so we better take this with more than a pinch of salt. But in case the rumor pans out to be true, then we will see a Galaxy S handset with a metal frame.
