Nintendo 3DS Miiverse Update Confirmed For Today As Fans Anticipate The Next Nintendo Direct

A major update will be occurring today for the Nintendo 3DS which will have fans excited.

According to Nintendo writer Emily Rogers, an upcoming maintenance update for the 3DS today should be closely monitored, teasing Nintendo fans everywhere regarding what the maintenance may bring.

In a previous Nintendo Direct, it was addressed that Miiverse, along with the linked Nintendo Network IDs, would be arriving for the Nintendo 3DS before the end of the year.

For those who are unfamiliar, Miiverse is Nintendo's social application. Through this, players can share messages about Nintendo titles to other players. News and spoilers regarding upcoming Nintendo titles are also posted on Miiverse by members of the creative team.

Most recently, it appears Emily Rogers has confirmed everyone's suspicions and ended her teasing regarding the Nintendo 3DS Miiverse update.

With this, Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U will now be linked through the Miiverse and Nintendo Network IDs.

Many anticipated a Nintendo Direct to address this big update, but now it seems fans will have to wait a bit longer for another Nintendo Direct.

Nintendo Direct is the company's way of updating fans regarding their upcoming titles and announcements for the consoles. Generally, at least one Nintendo Direct appears online per month with news.

It is often hard to catch Nintendo Direct because they are announced at the last minute, and with December coming and going, fans are eagerly anticipating another update before 2014 arrives.
