House Of Cards Season 2: Valentine's Day Premiere Plus Writers Guild Nominations Alongside Orange Is The New Black!

As "House of Cards" season 2 looms closer, a premiere date has been unveiled along with several nominations!

In a recent teaser trailer of "House of Cards" season 2, the premiere date of the series has been confirmed for February 14, 2014.

Check out the mysterious and atmospheric teaser featuring Robin Wright as Claire Underwood.

Much like last year, "House of Cards" season 2 will premiere on the date with all of its 13 episodes for streaming.

According to Deadline, a recent keynote by Ted Sarandos signals that beyond "House of Cards" season 2, Netflix has full intention to move forward with the series without too much consideration in terms of viewership.

"Our intent is that the show keeps going for sure," says Sarandos. "It was a 26-episode commitment. It was not our intent that it just run for two seasons."

"Talks are in progress right now."

But the faith in "House of Cards" is definitely warranted, as both it and "Orange is the New Black" have been nominated for Writers Guild Awards.

"House of Cards" is nominated for best new series and best drama series, while "Orange is the New Black" is nominated for best comedy series.

With Netflix bringing original programming that are both popular and critically heralded, no doubt "House of Cards" will return with even more fandom next February.
