GTA 5 PC Release Date Announcement Being Avoided? Rockstar Uses Same Message For Responding To Anxious Computer Gamers

Rockstar Games has been using the same message on Twitter to respond to anxious computer gamers awaiting announcements about the release date of Grand Theft Auto 5 PC version, leaving many wondering if they are trying to avoid releasing information.

"Keep an eye out for info on that on our newswire page: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire," the developer has responded to several Twitter users.

CinemaBlenc.com chimed in on Rockstar's approach:

"It's hard to tell at this point. If, however, the feed is sincere then it means that we really should be keeping an eye out for a press release to arrive soon announcing the definitive version of the game," the website writes.

"If the feed runner made a mistake and typed out of turn, well then we can just chalk this up to some poor dastard being worked to death behind the scenes and mistakenly regurgitating a response that was meant for a different question, sort of like how Obamacare was mistakenly proposed in place of a second prison at Guantanamo."

A determined effort to prioritize creating compelling content over an ambition to make money has allowed Grand Theft Auto 5 parent publisher Take-Two interactive to thrive, CEO Strauss Zelnick told GameSpot.com, leaving gamers wondering if the PC version will blow competitors out of the water.

"I have always been a believer in every entertainment business I've been in, that if you start by making consumers really, really happy, there's always an option to make money on that basis," Zelnick said, according to the website.

"Many of our competitors really do think first about monetization and second about what they supply; we think first about what we're supplying and second about monetization."
