Upcoming Android Phones 2013: Samsung Galaxy J Launched In Taiwan, Boasts Metal Body, Quad-Core CPU, Snapdragon 800, 3GB Of RAM

There have been a number of cool and high-end upcoming Android phones in 2013 which are interesting to look at. One of these is the Samsung Galaxy J, which first made its way to Japan several weeks back.

As a variant of the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy J faces lots of expectations both from its manufacturers and competitors. However, what immediately separates it from most of Samsung's smartphones is the metal-clad body, which makes it one quality device with premium build.

Now that it has officially launched in Taiwan, the Korean manufacturer would be able to evaluate how the market will welcome the metal casing which makes the Galaxy J look like an entirely different smartphone species.

Aside from the notable case and body design, the Droid also boasts the finest processing power the market has to offer. It sports a Snapdragon 800 with quad-core CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM, and a 5" 1080p Super AMOLED display.

According to the report from GSM Arena, pricing starts at TWD 21,900 or about $740 for the unlocked version, while all of Taiwan's four carriers will offer the device TWD 7,990 or $300 on-contract with TWD 1,300 ($45) monthly fees.

Pricing and availability for the international market is not available at the moment.

Here's a promo video which was posted by Samsung Taiwan.
