Serena Williams Net Worth 2013: Forbes’ 68th Highest-Paid Athlete? Data Reveals American Tennis Star Has Won The Highest Prize Money In Women’s Tennis

Serena Williams has won the highest prize money in women tennis history and is Forbes' 68th highest-paid athlete for 2013, TSMPlug.com reports.

"Sarena Williams is the younger sister of Venus Williams, and Sarena has won the highest prize money in women tennis history and she became the oldest tennis player to hold the #1 ATP Ranking this year and it was 6th time in here career she achieved the top spot," the website writes.

"She is a house hold name in USA and her earnings from Endorsements are more than here career prize money and lets take a look at how she earned her Net Worth of $90 over the years."

But her income flow is not the only thing fans are buzzing about.

Serena Williams may have had a negative reaction to a CNN article mentioning that her coach and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou "rescued" her from her declining tennis career.

"Mouratoglou gives all praise to Serena, minimizing his impact by saying his role is to 'reduce [her] chances to lose to the strict minimum.' Murphy follows a well-trodden path of Mouratoglou-as-catalyst that countless outlets, including The New York Times, The Times of London and USA TODAY Sports, have already covered. There's no denying Mouratoglou has been a boon to Serena's tennis," USA Today writes.

"Either way, Serena's game and confidence needed some fine-tuning, which Mouratoglou provided. She doesn't appear to need anything else."

Shortly after CNN's piece was published, Serena Williams wrote this on Twitter: "Philippians 4:13 'For all things I have the strength by virtue of him who imparts power to me.' Never. From. Man."
