Oppo N1 Vs. Note 3: Revolutionary Cameraphone Meets Top Android Phablet, Take Your Pick

The Oppo N1 vs. Note 3 duel is not particularly popular, but after today it will as the former becomes officially available in the international market.

First announced in September then hit China in November, the Oppo N1 is probably one of the bravest phone designs we have seen this year. And why not? It has a rotating camera which makes regular camera shots and selfies flourish with the same high resolution.

Packed with a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with 4128x3096 pixels, the camera is certainly the top selling point for the Oppo N1. And because it can be rotated by up to 206°, you can be sure that it can handle both front and back shots effectively.

While the Oppo N1 sweeps the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 when it comes to camera innovation, the latter levels the competition with its current high-end specs. It boasts a Snapdragon 800 processor compared to the 600 of the N1. The Chinese-made phone only features a 1.7GHz quad-core processor and Krait 300 CPU, while the Note 3 dominates with a 2.3Ghz quad-core processor powered by Krait 400 cores.

If design should be a factor for buyers, then both the N1 and the Note 3 sport admirable features which are definitely head-turners. However, if you do not like Samsung's Note designs in particular (which has changed very little in the past couple of years), then the Oppo N1 will offer a fresher look. Size may also become a factor as the Note 3 is surprisingly small compared to the N1's frame.

Overall, the Oppo N1 is a solid device that could certainly get its fair share of buyers due to the unique camera and nice build. Its Color OS and CyanogenMod partnership also helps build its reputation as among the upcoming top mobile manufacturers in the industry. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 3 is more future-proof, thanks to the latest processors and chipset it boasts.
