December CoroCoro Scan Unveils Movie 17 Title And Release Date: 'Cocoon Of Destruction' To Feature Yveltal, Xerneas, And Mega Evolution!

The December CoroCoro scan has arrived and the title and release date of the upcoming Pokemon movie (Movie 17) has been unveiled.

As many fans know, Movie 16 titled "Pokemon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened" debuted over the summer. It featured the first Pokemon (Sylveon and Mega Mewtwo Y) from Pokemon X and Y and the Kalos region.

But Movie 17 looks to officially dive into the mysteries of Kalos, as the December CoroCoro scan hints at the appearance of the Pokemon X and Y legendary Pokemon, Yveltal and Xerneas!

Not only that, but it also appears that Mega Evolution will play a big role in Movie 17, as the CoroCoro scan features several Mega Pokemon, including Mega Mewtwo X and Y, Mega Blastoise, Mega Charizard X and Y, Mega Garchomp, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Venasaur, and more!

Movie 17, according to Serebii translations of the December CoroCoro scan, will have a release date of July 19, 2014.

In addition, the first trailer of Pokemon Movie 17 is expected to air this weekend on the Japanese variety show Pokemon Get☆TV!

So what can you do until Pokemon Movie 17 comes out next year?

One thing that could tide you over is the recent English release of the short film attached to Pokemon Movie 16 called "Pokemon: Eevee and Friends" on the official Pokemon website.
