‘Supernatural’ Season 9 Spoilers: Will Gabriel Return In Episode 10? Watch Promo Trailer Here!

"Supernatural" season 9 doesn't return until January, but we've got some new spoilers to whet your appetite until then! Will Gabriel return to "Supernatural" in the second half of season 9? Watch a promo trailer below.

Spoiler alert: as most dedicated "Supernatural" fans will know, D.J. Qualls recently confirmed his return to the show in season 9 as Garth.

Qualls wrote on his Twitter in November: "Thanks for the kind words about my little stint on Five-0. Up next Legit season 2 and yep, Ill confirm it, Supernatural season 9."

His Twitter post confirmed a spoiler hint from October, when Qualls tweeted to Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam on "Supernatural," telling him he would be seeing him in Vancouver soon.

But does this mean other fan-favorite, long-dead angels will return as guest stars in "Supernatural" season 9, such as Gabriel, portrayed by Richard Speight Jr.?

"I know there are angels that we really like that we killed off... [and] yes, I think we will reintroduce some angels," teased executive producer Robert Singer, according to Give Me My Remote TV, Enstarz reports.

Entertainment Weekly also reported this spoiler: "SPOILER ALERT: THERE WILL BE HUGS. ELSEWHERE, AND ON AN UNRELATED NOTE, I HEAR THE SECOND HALF WILL SEE SOME PEOPLE WE ABSOLUTELY DID NOT EXPECT TO SEE. MORE ON THAT SHORTLY."

Fans, it sounds like there is still hope that Gabriel will return in season 9 of "Supernatural."

The synopsis for "Supernatural" season 9, episode 10 reads: "In order to rescue Sam, Dean makes a tough decision to release Crowley if he helps remove Gadreel from Sam's body. Gadreel warns Castiel about Metatron and his plans for Heaven."
