LG Gx Leaked Image Shows A Possible New Device Speculated To Have 5.5-inch Full HD IPS Display, Snapdragon 600 Processor, 2GB RAM & Large Battery

LG Gx leaked image that was seen in a Korean print ad is speculated to have a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, a Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB RAM and a 3,140 mAh battery practically guaranteeing an extended battery life.

According to a report by Tech Radar, the upcoming device is said to be 9.4 mm thick and is expected to come with an internal storage of 32GB. It will also have LTE-Advanced capabilities and a 13MP rear camera.

Tech Radar says that all signs point to a CES 2014 launch in Las Vegas on January. The actual availability date of this unit may not come until later, however, as it’s a concept design that the South Korean tech giant hope to unveil.

There have been several reports saying that the leaked LG Gx image could be LG Optimus G Pro LTE refresh, while some say it’s LG’s device to go against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Techno Buffalo wrote in a report that the rumored LG Gx looks extremely similar to the Optimus G Pro. Under the hood the specs of the device and the G Pro maybe “indistinguishable” the tech site described. It noted that the display, processor, battery and camera are exactly what you’ll find in an LG Optimus G Pro.

It’s possible that LG is upgrading the old phablet and 2012 flagship to support South Korea’s high speed LTE-A.

Other reports suggest that this could LG’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 challenger. The speculated phablet in the ad easily rivals the specs of the Note 3 as well as the HTC One Max.

Some, however, claim that until we see another appearance of the LG Gx, possibly at the CES next year that the ad itself could even be fake.
