The Killing Season 4 Spoilers: Linden's Mother, Military School Children Being Cast Opposite Joel Kinnaman And Mirielle Enos

With "The Killing" season 4 going into production, spoilers have surfaced regarding a host of new series regulars to play opposite Linden (Mirielle Enos) and Holder (Joel Kinnaman).

The big casting news is that "The Killing" season 4 will introduce Linden's mother, a woman in her mid-50's or 60's with a "startling" physical resemblance to her daughter.

Although spoilers by TVLine affirm that the mother will only be in "two great scenes," the confrontation will show that she is "unexpectedly insightful" about Linden despite the years apart.

In addition, spoilers confirm that four new series regulars will join Linden and Holder in "The Killing" season 4.

Margaret O'Neal will be Linden's nemesis, "the head of an all-boys military academy based outside of Seattle." O'Neal was dishonorably discharged from the military "due to her involvement in a questionable incident during one of her tours in the Gulf," she has "a deeply buried maternal instinct, one she has projected instead onto the troubled academy boys she is charged with molding into men."

Cameron Stanton will be one of the military academy boys. The 16 or 17-year-old is the "black sheep of his wealthy, well-connected family." Cameron will forge a bond with Linden during the murder mystery of "The Killing" season 4.

A.J. Fielding will play Cameron's "charismatic, overachieving, attractive" classmate. He is viewed as a leader at the academy, but "there's a price to his friendship and protection."

Lincoln is a third academy student who was enlisted "after allegedly attempting to sexually assault a female teacher at his former high school."

"He not only chafes under the rule of academy administrator [Margaret O'Neal] but is openly hostile to any of the weaker and smaller male cadets, anything or anyone perceived as even remotely feminine is to be derided and destroyed."

Given the context of the spoilers, it's clear "The Killing" season 4 will center around this military school setting.
