‘Mad Men’ Season 7 Spoilers: James Wolk Says He ‘Would’ Return As Bob Benson, On Premiere Date 2014

"Mad Men" season 7 premiere date 2014 is in the spring, and new spoilers reveal that James Wolk may return as Bob Benson, according to the "Mad Men" actor in a new interview.

James Wolk, who played Bob Benson on "Mad Men," spoke to the Sioux City Journal about whether or not he will return to "Mad Men" season 7.

Wolk, 28, revealed some new spoilers: if the writers of "Mad Men" want him back, he'll be there.

"If there's more of a story to be told and a way for me to do it, I would," Wolk said. "But you never know what Matt has in mind," he added, referring to "Mad Men" creator Matt Weiner.

According to Fashion & Style, this isn't the first time Wolk has talked about returning to "Mad Men" as Bob Benson:

"If they want me back on, we can certainly try to make something happen," Wolk said previously. "It's in their hands, but I loved working on 'Mad Men' and I'd love to be back there."

Wolk now stars on "The Crazy Ones," a CBS comedy.

The Sioux City Journal also asked James about the scene in which his character touches Pete's knee, drawing a lot of questions from "Mad Men" fans about the meaning behind the deliberate touch.

"There's room for interpretation," Wolk said. "I went to the Matthew Weiner School of Answering Questions."

Meanwhile, "Mad Men" season 7 will be split into two parts: the first seven episodes of season 7 will premiere in Spring 2014, and the other seven episodes will air in Spring 2015. Season 7 will be the final season for "Mad Men."

Harry Hamlin, who plays ad executive Jim Cutler on the AMC series, said he thinks this is a good move.

"I think it's a very wise move. What they discovered with 'Breaking Bad' is that by giving it an extra year, they were able to attract an extra God-knows-how-many people to the show. There were a lot of people, including my wife, who had never gotten into 'Breaking Bad.' Because of that longer time frame, she then spent the summer watching the whole thing," Hamlin said.

"It's probably the way these shows are going to evolve from now on. The new "summer reading" is going to be downloading an entire lifespan of one of these shows."
