Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Lawsuit Backfires! YouTube Co-Founder Fights Back Saying He Was Misled Into Signing A Confidentiality Letter

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are facing yet another controversy as their lawsuit against YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley backfires; following the marriage proposal video of Kanye to Kim, he posted on YouTube.

Hurley fights back following the lawsuit filed against him by the Hollywood power couple claiming that, "NO ONE ever told him he wasn't allowed to shoot or distribute the footage," as reported by TMZ. He also revealed that he was approached by a person after the proposal asking him to sign on a waiver and explained that it was for the purpose of using his image for a television special. He signed the document without knowing that it was a confidentiality agreement all along.

"He shouldn't be legally bound by the waiver because he was misled into signing it and he got no compensation in return for signing away his rights," he told TMZ. Hurley also shared a picture where he posed with the signed agreement as requested by the celebrity couple.

Now, he is asking the court to dismiss the case and order Kanye West and Kim Kardashian to pay for his legal expenses.

How much Kimye is seeking for the damages of the leaked video were not revealed. But, according to the statement made from their initial lawsuit against the company, Avos Systems Inc., "Exclusive rights, such as those sold by plaintiffs to publication of video of the event, are particularly valuable," states the couple's initial lawsuit. "If people violate these rights ... they are of substantially diminished value."

This is the most recent development in one of the many altercations between Kanye West and the media. Back in November, West pleaded not guilty from an accusation made by paparazzi from an airport incident in LAX when he was caught on video trying to grab a camera from the photographer who talked to him while exiting the airport.
