Ian Somerhalder's Instagram photo subtly scared his fans because of its bloody theme. Despite the fact that it is Christmas season, the 35-year-old actor shows that it is never too late to have some Halloween fan. In Somerhalder's latest Instagram photo, he was dressed as Damon Salvatore whose face was smeared with blood.
Somerhalder's Instagram photo had an apt caption: "Season's Greetings from Damon The Red-Nosed Reindeer Ripper..." The 'Lost' actor is known to have a penchant for sharing selfies which depict his vampire character. Such self-portraits oftentimes surface because of the makeup effects done to his character in the supernatural-themed CW series.
Recent reports likewise say that Somerhalder left the 'Vampire Diaries' set without washing his blood-covered face. As a result, several people from a gas station have been surprised.
The actor, who also doubles as an environmental advocate, previously revealed that Damon and Elena would be tested in the 'Vampire Diaries' Season 5: "Relationships are hard in real life, and they're exceptionally hard in Mystic Falls because when you have happiness in Mystic Falls, you have no drama. And if you have no drama, you have no TV show."
Now that the whole cast is working closely together to come up with an exciting season, will there be a chance for Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev to reconcile off-screen?
The 'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 will be returning on January 23, 2014 for the airing of its 100th episode entitled "500 Years of Solitude".
