Nexus Android 4.4.2 KitKat update: Google’s former flagship handset is getting the features and benefits of the tech giant’s latest OS through CyanogenMod (CM) team’s first Milestone (M1) build of CynagoneMod 11 (CM11) ROM.

According to the International Business Times U.K., the new CM11 M1 update offers the latest Android 4.4 KitKat features with the added benefit of bug-less coding at the hardware level. The news site also noted that the firmware’s lack of hardware bugs with Nexus devices paves the way for stable user experience while running the new firmware.

Android Soul said that the CyanogenMod 11 Milestone 1 aka CM11 M1 is good enough for daily use. The website also warned that installing the Custom ROM may void your device of warranty, thus, it is important for you to know that you will be liable for your own unit for any damage caused by the installation occurs.

Units that are eligible for the Custom ROM must be E960. You need to first confirm the model number of your device under the “About device” option in Settings. Another way to confirm the model number is by looking at the packaging of your Nexus 4.
