WWE Friday Night Smackdown Spoilers, Rumors: Hints Of Batista Return And A Night Change, Show Will Go On Live

The usual routine for a WWE Friday Night Smackdown show is a taped one and airs every Friday night. It might be different for this week as the show will go live and rumors are spreading that the show might now air on a different day than usual.

With an exclusive report from Variety, WWE is trying to increase the $139.5 million in TV licensing fees that the company gets for every live show they make. Possibly giving Smackdown a live TV spot instead of a usual taped show.

"We're letting the marketplace determine if it's interested in all or pieces," says Michelle Wilson, WWE's chief revenue and marketing officer. "We've had to evolve our thinking," Wilson says. "We are clearly entertainment-based, but if you think about the characteristics of our brand, it's live action, and that's sports. We want to be compensated for a live audience, since live content is getting a very significant premium in the marketplace."

On other news, Intercontinental Champion Big E. Langston who had an interview on ChadDukesWrestling.com hints of a possible comeback from former heavyweight champion-turned-MMA Fighter Batista, as rumors are circling around the WWE Universe and a possible appearance in the WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

"There are a few guys. For me it's kinda cool to think about guys you grew up and you idolized. Undertaker has a spot where he has that allure, and that mystique, and everyone always kinda goes to Undertaker as being their guy, and rightfully so. I was also a huge Vader fan, so if they were ever able to bring him back for one, I think that would be cool as well. I know there's been talk possibly, and I have no idea if it's gonna happen, about Batista possibly coming back. You know guys like that, you grew up watching idolized, you know they're all kind a dreams who knows if they'll ever come to fruition."
