Duck Dynasty Cast Phil Roberson MIA On Barbara Walter's Interview Before Being Suspended After His Anti-Gay Comments

Duck Dynasty cast Phil Roberson was missing in action during the family's interview with Barbara Walters on Wednesday.

The patriarch of the Robertson family decided to go duck hunting instead.

Phil's wife Miss Kay explained why her husband was not able to attend the interview from the iconic newsperson, saying:

"Between November and January, I told him I didn't ever plan to die then, because he may not be at my funeral."

Jessica Robertson even added that Phil wasn't even present during the birth of Jase saying, "Well, he missed the birth of Jase because he was in the duck line, and he wouldn't leave."

The interview went on without the family's patriarch for the episode of Barbara Walters' Most Fascinating People O f The Year, which is an annual show held by the famous newsperson, this could also be her last as she already expressed her plans on retiring early on.

Following the highly anticipated interview, Phil is yet again facing another controversy because of expressing his personal beliefs about homosexuality.

In the January issue of GQ, Duck Dynasty cast Phil Roberson said that homosexuality is a sin.

"It seems like, to me, a vagina -- as a man -- would be more desirable than a man's anus. That's just me. I'm just thinking: There's more there! She's got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical."

"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men," he replied when asked about what he thought was sinful.

The Duck Dynasty cast Phil Roberston also said that homosexuals are not alone. "Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers -- they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right."

A&E quickly responded to Phil Robertson's statement and decided that they will suspend him from the show following his anti-gay comments.

"We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson's comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty," the network said in a statement Wednesday. "His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely."
