Japan To Celebrate Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Release With Couples Themed Event Inspired By Tidus And Yuna

The Japanese release for the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be appropriately celebrated based on the iconic couple of the franchise: Tidus and Yuna.

Before the December 26 release date, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will hold a special romantic event in Shibuya, Japan.

According to Siliconera, the event will feature professional photographers who will be taking pictures of couples, which will be turned into posters with the caption, "We are destined to one day part with our most dearest person. So, for now, I'd like to cherish that person, who stands beside me."

This, of course, is inspired by the love story between Tidus and Yuna which spans Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.

The photo event will take place on December 24 at the Marui City shopping department in Shibuya, where fans will also have access to a demo of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will feature additional content from the international version of the release, including Last Mission and Creature Create.

Much like Final Fantasy XIII-2 with its Paradigm Pack which enlists monsters as teammates, Creature Create will allow players to capture monsters and replace Yuna, Rikku, or Paine in battle.

According to Joystiq, this is also possible for human characters like Lulu, Kimahri, and NPCs like Seymour Guado.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remeaster will be released in North America for the PlayStation 3 and Vita on March 18, 2014.
