Lindsay Lohan Will Sue GTA 5 Creators Over 'Image Theft; Character Has ‘Unmistakable Likeness’ But Is It With Her?

Lindsay Lohan will creep back in the news in some way, and now she is after Rockstar, the creators of this year's biggest game, "Grand Theft Auto 5."

The former "Mean Girls" star claims that the blonde girl holding a cellphone in the red bikini featured on the cover of Grand Theft Auto V bears an unmistakable likeness to her.

However, it does not end there. Lohan also claims that elements of the gameplay were culled from her real life events.

TMZ reported the planned lawsuit, and the merits of the case (aside from the likeness) are:

"Part of the game features a mission where a Lindsay Lohan look-alike asks the player to take her home and escape the paparazzi." Lohan had a previous infamous episode of trying to escape the paparazzi wherein the car she was in hit a photographer. This was in 2006, reported by TMZ in 2006.

"Another part of the game shows another Lindsay-like character at a hotel resembling the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood -- a place Lindsay not only frequents but once lived at -- and the mission is to photograph her having sex on camera." Lohan does not just hang out in the Chateau Marmont, she even lived there for a time.

GTA V is based on Hollywood, and has a satirical tone to it. The cities of Los Santos and San Andreas is their own video game version of Los Angeles and San Francisco respectively.

In their latest installment, they have brazenly took shots at the celebrity life as well as the crime and corruption in the "City of Angels."

The actual complaint has yet to be filed, thus it was subject to public opinion. The most common notion was the girl in the bikini was modeled after Kate Upton or Shelby Wilinder, who are both blonde and swimsuit models.

No further comments were issued by Lohan or Rockstar as of this writing.
