Win A Free Nintendo Wii U, Even If Pokemon And Christmas Broke The eShop

If you're a Nintendo fan, it's been an interesting 48 hours between the release of Pokemon Bank and the broken eShop, but perhaps winning a free Wii U will help smooth things over.

Recently, Nintendo announced a pitch contest wherein four winners will claim a free Nintendo Wii U!

To enter the free Nintendo Wii U contest, you must "create a video in which you make a pitch as to why someone (a parent, spouse, relative, etc.) should purchase a Wii U system for you this holiday season."

There are a few rules to follow if you want to qualify for The Pitch Wii U contest, and you can find them here.

But what are the prizes, you ask?

Three runner-ups will receive a package consisting of a free Wii U Deluxe Set bundle with New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U games, a Super Mario 3D World game, a Wii Party U game, a copy of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, and four Wii Remote Plus controllers. The total retail value of this prize package is $619!

The grand prize winner, however, will receive even more. In addition to all the items described above, this package will also include four round-trip coach airline tickets from the winner's home to Los Angeles, three nights' lodging in a hotel in Los Angeles, a chance to attend and watch the filming of a Nintendo commercial, and a stipend of $500. This grand prize package is valued at a whopping $6,619!

The winners will be announced on or around January 15, 2014, so be sure to submit your contest video to win a free Nintendo Wii U, and potentially a vacation to Los Angeles!
