Anime Freak News: Media Factory Releases Trailer for "Soul Eater Not!" Anime; Atsushi Ohkubo's Manga Will Be Adapted (Video)

Anime Freak News: "Soul Eater Not" is coming to anime and otaku are getting ready to celebrate. "Soul Eater Not" is a spinoff from the "Soul Eater" manga. The "Soul Eater" TV anime will be released on Blu-Ra on Feb. 26. Media Factor assembled a trailer for the for the January Japanese broadcast of the Soul Eater Best Selection. The Soul Eater trailer hits just in time for Comiket.

The Atsushi ÅŒkubo manga "Soul Eater Not!" is a side-story to "Soul Eater." It follows three girls, freshman Tsugumi Harudori, and two meisters Meme Tatane and Anya Hepburn. They are part of the Normally Overcome Target (NOT) class at the the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA). They are trying to live a normal life in spite of their powers. NOT's counterparts are in the Especially Advanced Talent (EAT) classes.

Chiaki Omigawa, who plays Maka on "Soul Eaters" confirmed that there would be an anime adaptation of "Soul Eater Not!." Maka is in the EAT classes. Omigawa confirmed the news on her "Yurutto Fuwatto" (Lax & Fluffy) radio program, saying "I think lots of people have already heard about this..."

The "Soul Eater Not!" came back from a hiatus last month.  manga returned from hiatus last month after the main Soul Eater manga ended in the magazine in August. It launched in 2011, and Yen Press is publishing both the
