Doctor Who Season 8 Spoilers: Premiere Date Rumors, Filming, And Steven Moffat On 'Raw, New Direction' With Peter Capaldi

Now that Matt Smith has bid his farewell on "Doctor Who," fans are eagerly anticipating spoilers on season 8.

The popular speculation on a "Doctor Who" season 8 premiere date is sometime in August, but now sources are betting it closer to September due to its ambitious broadcast schedule.

DoctorWhoTV reported earlier that season 8 would not be split into two parts in terms of broadcast, and will instead run all 13 promised episodes consecutively.

Places like Carter Matt believes that since the latest "Doctor Who" season 8 can air without bumping into the 2014 Christmas Special is October, September is a likely goal given that filming has not yet begun.

Recently, BBC confirmed that the first script read-through with Peter Capaldi has occurred, and spoilers confirm that filming should begin in January.

One person who is seeing it all through—from the 50th Anniversary all the way to season 8—is Jenna Coleman as companion Clara.

"It was incredibly emotional - I knew it was going to be difficult but just how emotional I found the process really took me by surprise," said Coleman regarding saying goodbye to Matt Smith.

"I became attached to Matt - it's such a strange relationship because it really is just the two of you. You spend every day running together and saving the world and each other's lives... And there's no other way to describe it other than: He's my Doctor."

Regarding "Doctor Who" season 8, Steven Moffat provided minor spoilers on the tone of the upcoming series.

"It changes all the time, and it's keeping ahead of the audience in a way. All shows age and they all age sort of in the same way. You learn how to do it, you get really slick at it, and then you think you're really, really slick at it and everyone's started to yawn. And you think 'oh God, we're really slick at this but everyone knows what we're going to do,'" said Moffat according to Cult Box.

"So now we've got to actually get a bit raw at it and do it in a different direction. It happens on every show - you get good at it and 'good at it' is the enemy in the end."
