Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Huawei's Ascend Mate 2 Leaked In Live Photos, To Feature 6.1" Display, 2GB Of RAM

Chinese manufacturer Huawei has had some success lately, and one of its new handsets are among the anticipated upcoming Android phones in 2014.

The Ascend Mate 2, which follows the success of the original Ascend Mate, has recently been leaked in several images. Now, another set of live images provide us a glimpse of the new Huawei flagship.

According to GSM Arena, the upcoming Droid would boast the same 6.1" display, unfortunately still bearing the 720p resolution which is a bit outdated already. The phone would also feature 2GB of RAM, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, and a 13-megapixel primary camera.

In the live photos, the Ascend Mate 2 looks like it would be made out of durable plastic which was used in Samsung's previous flagships. To add some style, there is a metal strip that frames the device.

In the report, the Mate 2 is expected to be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 in early January.
