Nichkhun won Kerd of the Year in Thailand, Acknowledged as Most Influential Person

2PM member Nichkhun received the award of being the ‘Most Influential Person’ for Thailand’s Kerd Awards.

Nichkhun was awarded ‘Kerd of the Year’ on March 30 at the Kerd Awards held in Bangkok being selected as the most influential person in Thailand.

The Kerd Award is an award show hosted by Woody, famous entertainer in Thailand, which awards stars who are best recognized in 7 different categories; Born to grasp the main scene, Born to be famous, Born to be a comedian, Born to be a pop singer, Born to be a giver, Born to be together, and Born to be hot.

The biggest awards of the show is ‘Kerd of the Year,’ given to the person who had the most influential activities throughout the year. The winner is selected through votes from social media sites and mobile phones.

Nichkuhn shared during his acceptance, “It’s just an honor to be nominated for such an important award but I cannot believe I won. It feels like a dream. I will work hard to make everyone proud. I wanted to thank the people who love, all my fans and for the Thai people.”

He later tweeted to his fans, “Thanks to everyone for their support, this award means so much to me. Once again, thank you for everyone who came out to the awards ceremony today.”

2PM is to hold their 6Days Budokan concert at the end of May.
