Free Games For Xbox Live Gold Members: January 2014 Titles Include ‘Sleeping Dogs’ And ‘Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light’

The two free games for Xbox Live Gold members this coming January 2014 has been revealed.

Microsoft recently announced the set of free games for Xbox Live Gold members coming next month, as posted on Gamespot. Accordingly, Xbox 360 titles, "Sleeping Dogs" and "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light" are the free games for Xbox Live Gold members this month.

On January 1, Wednesday, the first of the two free games for Xbox Live Gold members, "Sleeping Dogs" will be released. The open-world action game from Square Enix is regularly priced at $20. However, starting this January until the 15th, Xbox Live Gold members can grab it for free.

As described on Web Pro News, "Sleeping Dogs was a surprise hit when it was released in 2012. The game features open-world gameplay in the streets of a fictional Hong Kong and a story that fits neatly into the Hong Kong cop movies of old."

On January 16, Sleeping Dogs will be replaced by "Lara Croft and the Guardian Of Light," which normally has a price tag of $15. This free game for Xbox Live Gold members will only be available at the Xbox Live Store for 0 Microsoft Points until January 31.

Offering free games for Xbox Live Gold members is under Microsoft's program called Games With Gold, which was first introduced during the E3 2013 earlier this year. The program offers two free games for Xbox Live Gold members for Xbox 360 each month, the first one set to arrive on the first day of the month, and will then be replaced by the other one on the 16th.

Microsoft recently announced that it will also offer free Xbox One games starting in 2014.

Currently, Microsoft is offering "Shoot Many Robots" as one of the free games for Xbox Live Gold members this December. The game will be free only until December 31 so get your free copy now.
