Moto G Price At $100 Confirmed By Best Buy Official, To Become Available On January 9th

Yesterday, a leaked image of an alleged Moto G price made the rounds in the Internet. It was posted by a supposed Best Buy employee named Josue Joseph on his Google+ account.

While the leaker's name is certainly something to suspect on, the alleged pricing for confirmed by a Best Buy official.

According to the retailer's spokesperson Jonathan Sandler, "The phone is currently landing in stores and is available for sale as soon as it arrives."

The Los Angeles Times also reported that the phone will be Moto G's CDMA variant, which means it would not support 4G LTE connectivity. In addition, the Verizon-bound handset will only be available for users and buyers within the US.

The super aggressive pricing for Motorola's latest midrange handset is also Verizon's way to promote its new cheap pre-paid smartphone plans.

Meanwhile, in another report, this time by Android Authority, a leaked memo from Best Buy tells its employees not to sell Moto G phones until January 9th, when all of the company's stores have received the handset.

So are you getting this quality midrange phone as the year begins?
