The highly popular anime "Sword Art Online" will be streaming "Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION" today as the first teaser trailer of season 2 is unleashed.
Streaming service Crunchyroll will be streaming "Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION" worldwide on Tuesday, December 31, and fans can catch the special episode right now.
"Kirito and the others decide to go on an underwater quest within the world of ALO to grant Yui her wish to see a whale," says the official episode description.
"As they all prepare for the quest, they face a shocking revelation. Leafa, or Suguha is afraid of water. So, Asuna and the other female members decide to teach Suguha how to swim at a pool in the real world. Meanwhile, Kirito was meeting somebody…"

In addition to this special release, "Sword Art Online" season 2 has been confirmed for a 2014 release date, and the first official teaser trailer has been "activated."
Based off of the Reki Kawahara novels, Crunchyroll reports that "Sword Art Online" season 2 will revolve around the massively multiplayer online game Gun Gale Online. This chapter will focus on firearms and lightsaber-like weapons.
According to AnimeNewsNetwork, voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will reprise his role as protagonist Kirito, and Miyuki Sawashiro will reprise her role as Shinon from the PSP game "Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment."
