Smackdown Spoilers 1/3/14: WWE Results – Comeback Of Brock Lesnar Seen Once Again As Big E. Langston Challenges Lesnar, The Shield Gets Stronger Than Ever

Smackdown Spoilers 1/3/14: WWE Results: It is the New Year and it is the first ever Friday Night Smackdown of 2014.As usual, Smackdown was taped before the actual show and was taped in front of a live audience just before the New Year.

The show started with The Shield announcing that they are becoming a much stronger group than ever vowing to dominate the New Year just like how they did it the previous year.

After The Shield promo, the first match started as The Shield faced The Usos in a tag team match. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were declared losers because of an interference of Dean Ambrose beating the hell out of The Usos. Suddenly, from the back stage came in CM Punk running down the ring to give aid to The Usos.

Beneath the turmoil happening inside the ring, Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero interferes the chaos between the six wrestlers setting up a six-man tag team match between The Shield against The Usos plus CM Punk for the same night.

After that was set up, R-Truth and Fandango went at each other for the second match of the night. Out of nowhere, The Funkdactyls came out at ringside and started to dance distracting both wrestlers on the ring. Fandango got distracted the most leading for R-Truth to take advantage and get the win.

A cut scene between Renee Young and Big E. Langston were talking back stage then Langston talked about the interference and attacks made by Brock Lesnar on Mark Henry during Monday Night Raw. With that pissing him off, Langston challenged Lesnar for a match for next week's Monday night show. Meanwhile, for the Smackdown show, Langston was ready to get on his wrestling attire as Curtis Axel challenges him for the same night.

On the next match, Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust successfully defended their belts as they faced two-thirds of the Wyatt Family when Luke Harper and Erick Rowan got rolled up for a pin by the reigning champions to retain their belts.

Before the main event matches was a bout between Nikki Bella and Aksana where Bella won.

Being challenged by Curtis Axel earlier in the show, Big E. Langston planted a Big Ending on Axel finishing the match and posing up for his challenge on Lesnar.

The main event between CM Punk and The Usos against The Shield ended with a GTS by CM Punk on Ambrose to win the match for their trio ending the WWE Friday Night Smackdown show for the New Year.
