Microsoft has already revealed the free games for Xbox Live Gold members this January 2014.

The official Major Nelson blog site revealed the next set of free games for Xbox live Gold members. Accordingly, starting this January 1, gamers will be able to access one of the two free games for Xbox Live Gold members. For the first 15 days of this month, Xbox Live Gold members can download "Sleeping Dogs" for 0 Microsoft Points.

Published by Square Enix, Sleeping Dogs is an open world action-adventure video game which was released in 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows. On January 16, Sleeping Dogs will be replaced by "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light," as posted on Examiner. The game is normally priced at $14.99.

Free games for Xbox Live Gold members are offered every month under the Games With Gold program of Microsoft. Specifically, there are two free games for Xbox Live Gold members released each month, the first month made available on the first day, and then replaced by the second one on the 16th.

According to GeekWire, Games With Gold program, which was introduced during the E3 2013 event was supposed to run only until December. But apparently, the program will continue to offer free games for Xbox Live Gold members indefinitely. The games offered are only for the Xbox 360 console, however, Microsoft previously announced that starting 2014, there will also be similar offering for the Xbox One.

As for more Xbox Live news, today is also the last day to avail Microsoft's offer. As posted on Gaming Bolt, gamers will get three-month Xbox Live Gold subscription if they purchase three Xbox One games. Qualifying games are "Crimson Dragon," "Killer Instinct," "Lococycle," and more.
