'True Blood' Actor Luke Grimes Leaves Series To Focus On 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'; What Will Happen To His Heroic Character James?

Luke Grimes in 'True Blood' touched the television program's viewers when he proved that vampires can similarly have emotions despite their soulless states. However, Grimes will not be in 'True Blood' Season 7 anymore for he will leave the show in exchange of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.

In 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie, Grimes will be playing the role of Christian's younger brother, Elliot. After assuming a big role, will his character vanish?

According to TV Line, camp hero character James will still be in 'True Blood' Season 7 but a recasting will take place. No news has been released yet regarding the actor who will replace him.

On the other hand, Zap2it claims that Grimes did not leave his role just to concentrate on 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. The 29-year-old actor is reportedly unhappy with how his character was directed last season that he opted to end his contract with the series.

Grimes also wants his character to continue its pairing with Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) but the production team allegedly has other concepts in mind for Jessica. This gives a hint that Jessica and James might end their romance in 'True Blood' Season 7.

The actor has not yet confirmed whether he indeed had directorial problems with the show's producers.
