Olivia Palermo Engaged To Model Boyfriend Johannes Huebl! Socialite's Fiancé Says What They Have Is A 'Conservative' Type Of Love

Olivia Palermo is officially off the market after being engaged to her fiancé Johannes Huebl. Palermo's engagement made its debut via Instagram just in time for New Year.

Huebl uploaded a video via Instagram which portrayed 'The City' actress as she playfully flaunted her ring. "Happy New Year to everybody and this is how we celebrate it: OP said YES," wrote Huebl.

Since both of them come from the fast-paced modeling industry, does it mean that they are already used to the glare of publicity?

For the German hunk, what they have is a type of love that does not call for attention: "I think we have a very conservative, old romantic, private approach to our love." He similarly explains that his lady love's real character is far from what's being shown on camera.

"She is completely different than she's been portrayed on her job, everyone who meets her - especially with me - is surprised about her happiness, and her friendliness and smiles," says Huebl in an interview with Elle three years ago.

The 27-year-old reality television actress likewise thinks that her show does not justify the entirety of her personality: "I'm a much nicer person, much more laid back and relaxed, not serious like they show me. They can only use so much footage in 30 minutes, so I think that they really narrow it down and sometimes it doesn't come out exactly how I would like."

The couple started dating in 2008 after being introduced by mutual friends. They have also worked for several modeling gigs. Prior to Huebl, Palermo was dating 'The Hills' associate producer Ben Nemtin.
