The Americans Season 2 Spoilers: 'Emotional' Return For Margo Martindale, Costa Ronin Joins Cast As KGB Officer, And More!

As "The American" season 2 prepares for its return February 26, spoilers regarding the cast have surfaced.

Unlike season 1, much of "The Americans" season 2 will focus on "the family as a whole," according to executive producer Joel Fields.

"I think we can say as much as, last season was the exploration of a marriage [and the new season] would draw a big concentric circle" to include Paige and Henry.

"That moment with Paige is a hint to some of the direction we will go."

In addition, spoilers confirm that "The Americans" season 2 will see the return of Margo Martindale as Claudia, and in more than one episode as well.

According to spoilers by TVLine, Claudia's return is both "emotional" and "surprising." Currently, Margo Martindale is a series regular on the CBS sitcom "The Millers."

And with an ever expanding cast which has promoted Annet Mahendru (Nina), Susan Misner (Sandra Beeman, Stan's wife), and Alison Wright (Martha, Philip's informant), Russian actor Costa Ronin has joined the cast.

Spoilers confirm that Ronin has been cast as a KGB officer with "a talent for technology," according to Fields.

Ronin will be joined by Aimee Carrero, who will play a Sandinista freedom fighter named Chena who "will go to any lengths to support her cause."
