Ariana Grande’s Boyfriend Nathan Sykes Hates Too Much Make-Up On A Woman And Other Facts About The British Crooner

Despite rumors of Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes' breakup, fans of the British crooner are still unstoppable in trying to find out things about him. Behind the gentle face is an array of facts which Ariana Grande found charming.

Being a singer is not his childhood dream.

Born as Nathan James Sykes on April 18, 1993, the green-eyed boy already showed signs of singing prowess at an early age. As a child, he was fond of watching BBC's Saturday Show. Despite his vocal talent, he originally wanted to be a football player.

He is fond of animals.

Sykes is a big fan of cats. When he was younger, he had a pet rabbit called "Pikachu" who was named after the famed character from Japanese cartoon 'Pokemon'.

He started performing and playing the piano when he was 6.

At a very young age, Sykes learned how to play the piano because of his music teacher mother. He started singing at age 6 and five years later, he got accepted to Sylvia Young Theatre School. He won Britney Spears' 'Karaoke Kriminals' as well as the Cheltenham Competitive Festival of Dramatic Art when he was 10. In 2004, he represented his country in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest where he nabbed the third spot.

He is the youngest and neatest member of 'The Wanted'.

After a stringent nationwide audition, then 16-year-old Sykes got one of the five spots of 'The Wanted'. He is the youngest member of the band and according to his band mates, Sykes has a penchant for cleanliness and organization.

He wrote his first love song when he was 14.

Though he never disclosed the identity of his love song's inspiration, Sykes admitted that he penned a soulful love song when he was 14 years old. Although still young, Sykes reportedly gets asked by many flight stewardesses to engage in "physical activities" while flying on plane. The self-confessed gentleman apparently refuses such proposals.

He has a penchant for women with nice voices.

Apart from wanting women who do not wear too much make-up, he likewise goes for those with seemingly enchanting voices. Prior to Nathan Sykes and Ariana Grande's relationship, the 20-year-old singer dated his schoolmate Dionne Bromfield. Bromfield is a British singer who is also the goddaughter of late songstress Amy Winehouse.

After meeting in a red-carpet event, Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes developed a connection. Such connection can be noticed when they collaborated on 'Almost Is Never Enough'. In her recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Grande praised Sykes for not trying to sleep with her during their first date.

Until now, the representatives of the young artists have not yet spoken about the couple's rumored breakup.
