Dwyane Wade Baby Mama Threatens His Engagement With Gabrielle Union? NBA Player Fathers A Kid For The Third Time But Not With Fiancée

Many expressed their well wishes for Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union's engagement but prior to reaching such milestone, the couple went through a lot of things. Recently, the NBA player became a father for the third time. However, his newest child is not with Union but with a different woman.

Wade had two children with his former wife Siovaughn Funches whom he legally parted ways with in 2010. His third child's baby mama is reportedly someone whom the athlete had known for years. The baby was reportedly conceived during Wade's temporary breakup with Union.

Last September, he explained to Jay Leno why the temporary breakup needed to take place: "Celebrity relationships [are] very hard. This was a big year for us and our relationship from the standpoint of she was shooting her show Being Mary Jane, going most of the year. I was dealing with my injuries, trying to win a championship, so we kinda took a step back."

Despite the challenge in their relationship, the two eventually realized that couldn't stand to be separated. "We supported each other. But at the end of the day we came back together and [said], 'Listen, we want to continue this, we want to continue to try to get better each day,' and she's been with me, and I've been with her all summer long. We're going strong now," he told People magazine.

He might have encountered difficulties in becoming the husband of Funches but the athlete's dedication to his three sons is unquestionable. Aside from participating President Barack Obama's Fatherhood Task Force, he likewise released a New York Times bestselling book entitled 'A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger than Basketball'. In one of his previous interviews, he mentioned that he is "always a father first."

Wade orchestrated the proposal last December 21 with the help of his two sons Zaire and Zion. While no official date has been confirmed yet, the couple is allegedly planning to have a September wedding.
