Ben Affleck Has High Hopes For ‘Gone Girl’ Movie Adaptation; ‘If You Read The Book And Liked It, You Will Definitely Like The Movie,’ Says Lead Actor

One of the 2014 movies based on books which viewers are eagerly waiting for is 'Gone Girl'. Gillian Flynn's bestselling novel tells the story of Nick and Amy Dunne's marriage. On their fifth anniversary, Amy mysteriously went missing. Worse, her husband Nick is the suspect.

Playing the character of Nick is Ben Affleck and as early as now, the actor already expressed his pride for the movie.

"I don't want to give away too much, because if you know the book, you know that there are set of reveals that you would want to maintain the integrity of. But I will say that Gillian adapted it and I think it's very, very faithful to her book. If you read the book and liked it, you will definitely like the movie," claimed Affleck in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

To give fans a glimpse of his character, 20th Century Fox likewise posted a Twitter picture of Affleck while filming. The photo tweet was accompanied with a teaser, "Check out @BenAffleck as Nick Dunne, a suspect seeking the truth in his wife's disappearance in #GoneGirl." 

Rosamund Pike will play the role of Amy Dunne. Although filming is still ongoing, 'Gone Girl' movie will be released in October 2014.
